All the talk, State-side, is buzzing around the baseball trade deadline. Griffey Jr. going to the White Sox and finally having a shot at the World Series (by the way, check out the comment from "SUCKONMYBAT." Braaaavo, internet), Boston actually being dumb enough to unload Manny. Me? I'm still buzzing about the excellent news from earlier this week.

19m is quite a bit of change, sure, but look what it does for the Reds. Suddenly, a strike partnership of Torres and Keane (both of which have stunning goal-rates), supporting in attacking midfield by Gerrard, Babel, and Kuyt with Monster Masch anchoring the center of the pitch. It's impressive, to say the least, and makes us look quite formidable. And as soon as Chrissy bolts from Man U, watch out. It'll be a different set of red uniforms hoisting the trophy at season's end.
