Let me ask you this: Is it bad that my first reaction to Verlander's no-no last night was, "Woohoo! $20!" Yeah, that's right. A nice crisp Andrew Jackson as my reward for betting on the Tigers. Impressed, aren't you? I feel like I should get paid 1.5x like in blackjack.

Another question: Where is "the deep end" exactly? I only ask because I've bet recently on such things as Arena Football and Swedish soccer... and won!

Completely unrelated to any of this, I'd feel remissed if I didn't mention that Pierre Turgeon is calling it quits. If you had to write up the all-underrated team in NHL history, Turgeon would surely be on it. Pretty nuts that such a prolific center on so many good teams never played in the Stanley Cup Finals.
