Remember how I'm rabid about college hoops?

Sometimes, I feel like Kyle Whelliston is in my head. Granted, I still make an effort to catch LA Kings games when I can, but it's eerie how much on the same page we are. It really is the simplicity and continued excitement of the easily-sectored season that lifts college hoops a few notches for me above the vast, endless expanse of professional regular seasons (NHL, NBA, MLB) and the abruptness of college football (you lose in week 1, your season is largely forfeit). At the risk of sounding sicophantic, I wish I had the courage and foresight to do what Whelliston's doing -- that is to say, completely immerse myself in genuine college bball madness to the point where I can't afford not to make it my job. I'm endlessly fascinated and jealous of the 100 Games Project.

Anyway, it's good to have college basketball back.
