Farewell to Jerzy

A class act. Even while it cost him his spot in Germany last summer.

It's sad. He became a legend two years ago in Istanbul and the memory that cemented him as such will stay with all of LFC fans forever. But in a world of "what have you done for me lately?" Duds has been a dud. He could only sit behind Reina so long, nevermind the fact that Scott Carson's loan at Charlton is coming to an end. I do wish him the best, though, wherever he decides to continue his career.

He will never walk alone.

He was the greatest (except on clay)

Pete Sampras is still winning titles, even while retired. Read here. This little blurb made me laugh:

Then, between beating Martin and grabbing the first-prize check of $50,000, Sampras shared some bad news with the Red Sox fans in the crowd.

"I don't know if you guys heard, but I believe the New York Yankees just signed Roger Clemens,'' Sampras said during the trophy ceremony as the crowd of 3,560 erupted in boos. "I'm serious.''

That is some funny funny, that is. "Hey, Boston! Thanks! Love you! By the way, the Yankees trumped you again. So sorry. Suck it, would ya?"
