Beautiful Reds Goals (a rarity of late)

It seems, these days, that when Fernando Torres isn't in the lineup, Liverpool have an excrutiatingly tough time putting balls in the back of the net. Such was the case yesterday in their Carling Cup victory over Robbie Fowler and Cardiff City. But... it was a victory. A welcome change from the slew of draws in the league (like the entertaining 1-1 with Arsenal) and the infuriating, pathetic showings in Europe (like the losses to Marseille and Besiktas). What's more, is that the two goals scored on Cardiff were real beauties. See for yourself. Not sure if El Zhar's wonder strike will get him a spot this weekend at Blackburn (a very difficult fixture in which we badly need to come away with points), but the scuttle is that he'll be in the Moroccan national first team soon against France. That's a good thing, obviously. Always good to see the skipper scoring, too. All the credit to Yossi for that one. Hopefully, this will help get SG back on his horse.

Looking ahead to this weekend, Rovers are a legit squad, well-capable of a top 4 finish this season, I believe. We lost this fixture, last season, and getting a result is all the more important given that Arsenal and ManUre play each other this weekend.

Would like to see...
