Truthfully, I just simply forgot to post anything about this game in the days leading up to it because I was so ambivalent and disinterested in the teams participating. But I'll say, I did have a feeling the Colts would pull it out and I don't think there's any doubt that the better team won today. Indy made their way through a much tougher road to get to the Superbowl and with the defense flicking on the switch, they looked like a championship-caliber team. A couple Rex Grossman specials in the 4th quarter didn't hurt their chances either.

Peyton Manning, you've still got a forehead fit to screen a drive-in movie on, but congrats. Your day has finally arrived. Also, thank you for winning this game, because now, much like when Boston won the World Series, the nation can be spared of the tired "Can he/Will he ever win the 'big one'?" story.

As for the game, it turned out to be a pretty decent one thanks entirely to the insanity of the first quarter. Everything tailed off after that, but the first quarter was entirely made up of CRAZY MADNESS and, man, that was a treat to watch... even if it was really sloppy.
