Rock Chalk, my friends. K Boo!

Have I mentioned my love of college hoops? At all? Well, last night was a prime reason why it's so great. It's also fantastic when overrated Kansas goes down on their homefloor. They may yet win the Big 12, but they're not a Final Four squad this year, despite what the preseason polls say. I comfortably rate UCLA, Wisconsin, Georgetown, Ohio State, Pitt, Arizona, Boston College, Georgia Tech, and Tennessee ahead of KU. Then the grimey slime at Duke behind all of those. Oral Roberts, for their part, is no slouch. We'll definitely see the strong MCC faves dancing in March.

UNC barely survived Winthrop, barring the possibility of a double O-face from yours truly.

Arizona 101 NAU 79. That's more like it. 32 points for Frosh sensation Chase Budinger.

"I talked to Chase in the locker room before the game," Olson said. "I said, 'You're our Sean Elliott. You can't worry about whether you're outscoring the sophomores, juniors or seniors. You have to be a key guy for us."

Nice. Well-rounded game for Shakur, too. Hopefully, that'll keep his confidence up.

Texas v Michigan State tonight. Should be a good'n.

Also, take note, Air Force mopped the floor with Stanford (admittedly not a vintage Cardinal team this year) in Palo Alto.
